Laminin is an independent band comprising of five members (friends), having a unison vision and a goal. Its main purpose is to use music and songs as a source of ministry to bring a positive change especially in the lives of the youth of India. Our sole aim is to bring many lives to our Lord Jesus Christ and to see India being blessed by God. We preach the word of God according to Biblical doctrines in songs and bring out a straight and clear message to the people.
We believe in using complete gospel songs to reach to all the sects of people without any compromise or haze. Our music is mainly Contemporary International English songs (Christian songs). The band consists of a drummer (Arun Kadambavanam), electric bass guitar (Jonathan Singh), rhythm guitar/vocals (Tipskhem), acoustic guitar/vocals (Donna Gonmei), lead guitar/vocals (David Singh).
The band was initiated in July 2010 and financially functions independently through contributions by each band member. We have no financial back up from anywhere/anybody and with faith depend on God for all our needs. Even though our band is not financially sound, yet we anchor ourselves in Jesus through prayer and faith. We focus mainly in doing live performances free of cost for anyone and everyone. All that we hope to see is God’s kingdom come down in the lives of the people and bring them closer to Christ.
God has given us the gift of music and we desire to use it for him alone. Each individual in the band is a believer in Jesus and has made a commitment towards this ministry.
The band is based in Delhi (Lajpat Nagar) though all the members are from different parts of India, but the love and unity in Christ binds us together. Our goal does not just end at performing but goes deeper into teaching and sharing the gift of music in terms of short music workshops and teaching from God’s word. We as youngsters aim at setting an example for the people and manifest Jesus through our lives.
“I will sing to the Lord all my life,
I will sing praises to my God as long as I live.”
